As part of the NSW Government’s commitment to a strong and sustainable local government system, the Local Government Amendment (Planning and Reporting) Act 2009 was assented to on 1 October 2009.

Integrated Planning and Reporting Practitioners workshop - These are co-hosted by DLG and Local Government Managers Australia (NSW). The first of these was held in June 2009 on implementing the Integrated Planning and Reporting package. The second, to be held in July 2010, will consider lessons learnt from Group 1 councils’ implementation of the integrated planning and reporting framework.
