    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The source data used to compile the Key Performance Indicators in the 1998/99 publication of Comparative Information on NSW Councils is available. For example, the Average Rate per Residential Assessment for each council is calculated by dividing the Total Residential Rates Revenue for that council by the Number of Rateable Residential Properties in that council area. This source data is available for each Key Performance Indicator.

Right-click here to download the data. The data is contained in an Excel 97 workbook. It is presented in 3 sheets labelled "1998-99 DATA", "1997-98 DATA", and "1996-97 DATA" respectively. Within each sheet, data is arranged with one row for each performance indicator (ie. including component items used to calculate the indicator where applicable). The data is sorted in alphabetical order by council name.
